Hey guys,

well i have run into the problem of maybe not having enough power apparently.

i have ( my setup )

stock batt.

fi SSD 15"

Rub 1600D

big 3

0 gauge to everything ( besides the speakers themself. )

big 3

and i planned on running 1000 watts RMS to my sub. but if its too low, it can blow it i have been told?

( 2005 toyota highlander, 100amp stock alt)

i do not want this to happen. so, how can i prevent it?

a second batt? not looking to upgarde the alt.

and i need a volt meter, for the batt, wats a cheap one? and what should my batt be between at all times.

OP that SSD, depending on what kind of options it has, won't need the full 1600. 1200-1300 will be plenty for that sub. As long as your front battery is good and doesn't rest too low you should be good.

haha well with the volume knob? im new to car audio sorry for such dumb questions, just want to do it right the first time.

so i should be fine no extra batt? and what volts should my batt be at at all times? i need something to monitor it i believe.

and with the volume knob, as long as my gains on the amp are okay the knob ( one that goes to the sub.. ) can be cranked, correct?

The front batt needs to be around 12.3 at a min. at rest.

And running and warmed up, it should be in the 14v range, +/-.

so if im like driving around and this volt meter ( which i need a link, a simple one... ) goes below around 12.3V i should stop and not run till i get a new batt? because i saw a video of someone's batt dropping and it kept going around 13.9V or 14.1V which i would think is fine..

With the car running and at hwy speeds, if your voltage drops that low, you may have a problem. 13.9 while the car is running is fine.

^ any other brands? cheaper is always best... not looking to get something amazing haha just to get the job done

i will place a bid on that thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
