so they r pretty much the same only the 15 is louuder...let says on a scale of 1-10...of louness...15" would be 10..what would two 8 be...

if two 8 isn't better why it orginal price before sale is more expensive than the 15...

two 8=370

one15=320

there gotta be something good about it........

if ur saying the two eight is the same as the 15..wouldn't it be a good deal to get two eight for 290..why everyone recomend the 15..i don't understand...i'm just making sure before i buy cuz don't want to make anymore wrong decision...

There is no scale of loudness, its all in the install. But if you want to compare from the absolute worst stereo O to the absolute loudest 10, id say it ranks a 4 or 5.

the reason there is a difference in teh price, is because you are paying for 2 motors, two baskets, two cones, etc... double the material...

I would go with teh 15 in either case..

they only have more material because there are two of them...

the 15 has more displacement, ergo more capability of getting louder, ergo you needing to push the driver less strenuously to get the results you desire, ergo less distortion and an overall cleaner sound. plus I like the increased low end that a 15" driver supplies.

8s probably would because they would be more accurate, but the difference would be very small. Id rather go for the single 15.

the 15 can be just as accurate, with more displacement, a lower price tag, and better low end extension, IMO

that is what i'm looking for ..accurate clean less distort..low and puchy... but since u said the different would be very small then i'll go with the 15..

...and one more question...i'm very impress by the bose home subwoofer..and i like to hear a similar sound to that..would the 15 be anythng like that or better...i'm a very newbie so i'm gonna be sealing them ..so is that gonna be a problem to what i'lm looking for above

impossible to tell... there are so many factors at play both in car and in home. merely the positioning of the woofer in yourhouse will make a huge difference in how it sounds... we don't know what it sounds like (how you like it) so how can we tell you what sounds similar?

8s are generally going to be tighter and quicker to hit them beats over a 15 of the same brand and line. Granted you have the ability to change both setups with EQs, boxes, and all that.

Well, I say, get those 8's in your doors like Jlaine, and then get a 15A for the trunk. Oh, BTW, good lucking tracking down a 15A.....can you say "backordered till 2010"?
