need help make fast deciscion!!please

i heard that the smaller the sub the better the sq rightt..cuz i heard the thunder 9500 10" hit way better than the 12".. if i'm right on this and there is a $40 off on the Elemental design A8"..

should i get 2 of that and save $80.. or 1 15A..which will sound better(i''m into sq) and which will sound louder...

Its all in the install. Generally an 8 will be quicker to respond than, say, a 12 or 15. I personally have been fond of a single 12.

yeh, all install.. box size, tuning, wattage, etc.. I'm thinking the 15" might hit lower.. but for some reason im thinking 2 8"s will puch more air.. so its up to you.. way to many variables to make anything more than an Educated guess on the outcome..

well..i'm planing on sealing them....space is not a problem...and wattage is not either....r u saying 15 is less quicker to respone. ..but will be lower than 2 8"...how much lower r we talking about..1 -10 on a scale

don't worry about it being 'slower' the moving mass is not that much heavier. it would not have been designed the way that it is if it couldn't hang with the big boys. go with the 15

I hope you didn't come to that conclusion by thinking 2x8"sub=16" > 15" sub

It'd take 7.5 8As to displace the same amount as a single 15A.

I don't believe moving mass has much to do with transient response, I've heard Inductance plays a larger role.

Either way, like WB said, don't worry about the 15 being "slower".

People will always have differing opinions on how something sounds...IMO, I think you're really after SQL rather than SQ because you've been asking how loud they will get. Both the two 8's and single 15 will sound "good", but the 15 will be much louder.

the difference in sound would be very slight as far as quality and response. you can gain quick response from that 15 by putting it in a sealed box.

the 8's won't necessarily sound any better... it's all in teh enclosure... (and hte EQ, but that's another story)
