need help! just got pheonix gold type r 6.5's

hi. i never installed components before so i need some help. i got the package today, i opened and found speakers tweeters and some wires. in the auction and on the box it said it had external 18db crossovers. buh i see no cross overs. the only thing i would think that would be the cross over is this black thing(about 1.5 x .5 x.5 in) between the wires. i first thoguht it was a fuse but iuno. if i didnt have a cross over would i still be able to install it? and i need help with wiring it.

-on the speaker there are 4 prongs sticking out so you can connect wires to it...do i connect all 4 or just 2? and if 2 which ones? the speaker has 2 small prongs on one side and next to it is 1 small and big prong.

edit: i was an idiot and didnt read some of the stuff

the octane Rs only come w/ bass blockers or inline xovers like said above. hopefully mckenzie will chime in cause he should be able to answer you.
