Need help insurancing 8k system

I'm going though progressive right now and their cap is $5000. I mainly want to insure the system itself from theft of it will give me a cheaper rate. The car itself is a 99 camery so it's not worth too much. What are some good insurance companies to use?
There are NO good insurance corporations! Not many if any! Most all are Mammon Worshiping SCUM!! Insurance started as a good humanistic idea, and was until the greedy Mammon worshiping SCUM set in and we see how THAT worked out!! :-(

first off shu t the f uck up john, no one cares what you think and you really dont answer people questions, u just ramble on about non sense

now to answer your question i cant speak for every insurance company out there but i had state farm and when my system was stolen they replaced everything. I never told them what i had in there before it was stolen but my plan covered making the car to how it was before. So i would just make sure whatever insurance company you go with that it includes whatever is inside the car. it woud be the same thing if you had a laptop or other expensive things in the car, they would be covered as well. just make sure you keep receipts and serial numbers of everything you have. I think that would be the better way to go about it then to tell them upfront you have thousands of dollars worth of audio equipment and then they will charge you an arm and a leg on your monthly payments. judt try and find a company that doesn't have the 5k cap, or ask progressive if you can up that to 10k or something. riasing it to 10k shouldnt raise your premiums too much. another option would to use renter insurance if you rent or homeowners insurance to protect your system against theft. I know that wont help you when you car isnt at home but it will be alot cheaper. as for what insurance company is the best you will just have to use the internet and get some quotes. i dont think one is that much greater then the others. the place i use now checks like 100 different companies and finds me the best deal. i dont know the name of those type of companies but ive always found those companies gives you the best rates. hope that helps.

I have used geico with no questions asked.

How much was you system worth when it was stolen? The liability on my insurance only goes up to $1000 so I think they cover anything up to that amount, anything over that is not covered I think.

the system was around $4,000 but had 2 paintball guns, a laptop, like 250cd's and some other odds and ends stolen as well. if i remember correctly they paid like 60% of the value and if i re-bought any of the stuff that was stolen they would pay out another 50% of the stuff i re-bought. back then i bought all my cds from best buy on their rewards card so i had a list of every cd. i got 2 checks from state farm for like a total of 12 grand/there was no limit on how much i could claim, that much i do remember. u just gotta shop around and read the fine print

I have alstate. But they do not cover valuables on your car like car audio. You need to purchase a seperate policy for that wich is called car audio or something.

I know i have renter insurance. And have it at 40k they dont ask questions about what i have. Hell i could say i had 100k n stuff in my house and only have 1k

Each state is going to be different so this is kinda a useless thread. My wife is an insurance agent for usaa. Licensed in several states. Each state is different
