Need Help in my next step for building up my system

Ok so far I have my sub and amp:

Now for my next step I plan on buying a HU and probably the wiring kit as well. For the HU I'm looking for something with a usb port to control an ipod through and has a nice display and also plays mp3 cd's. So far I've been looking at these:

I don't really want to spend more than $200 shipped for the HU and I'm looking at crutchfield because they include the wiring harness and all that and they have good service everytime I've dealt with them.

For the wiring and all that I was wondering if I could just buy one of the kits from walmart or go for something better. Don't really want to spend a bunch of money on the wiring if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Go better on the kits. You can get a Kicker 1/0 for under 100 bucks on Ebay, IIRC, or yo ucould buy scrap wire and make a kit yourself.

Lets see

Alpine x300 out of your HU choices. If you have an IPOD, that is.

Sub and Amp combo should be fine. I will add that if you're willing to buy used off the forum you could probably do a good bit more with your money.

Edit - For 200 bucks, or just a tad more, you could pick up a used RD 1000.1 or Sundown 1000D or similar. You could also get two cheaper 12's if you're going for a louder approach and if you have room.

The setup you have in mind sounds fine though, just spend your money wisely on a box.
