Hi, still new here... basically new to any audio upgrades as well and I've done somewhat research on what I can and I've decided on this type of set up and I would like to know what you guys think about it.
First off I like to play all type of Rock music from the soft indie rock to hard death metal for reference. Also would a Ported box or Sealed box be better for the quick double bass drums that the Sub will need to play sound better?
Sub: 1 Kicker S10L7:
Details:
* 10" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils
* SoloKon aluminum-treated composite cone with Santoprene surround
* cast-aluminum basket
* power range: 90-600 RMS watts (300 watts per voice coil)
* peak power: 1,200 watts
* frequency response: 24-100 Hz
* sensitivity: 86.1 dB
* mounting depth: 6-3/16"
* sealed box volume: 0.66-1.0 cubic feet
* ported box volume: 1.25-2.25 cu. ft.
Amp: Kicker ZX650.4
Details:
* 4-channel car amplifier
* 120 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (170 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
* 325 watts RMS x 2 in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
* variable high- and low-pass filters (50-200 Hz, 12 dB per octave)
* variable bass boost (0-18 dB at 40 Hz)
* top-mounted controls
* CEA-2006 compliant
* speaker- and preamp-level inputs
* fuse rating: 40A x 2
* 4-gauge power and ground leads and an 80-amp fuse recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
* 20"W x 2-1/8"H x 9-9/16"D
Components: Kicker RS-Series 6 1/2" Component Speakers (RS65.2)
Details:
*RMS power handling (watts) 100
*Frequency response (kHz) 40Hz - 21kHz
*Peak power handling (watts) 200
*Recommended amp wattage range 5 - 100 Watts
*Peak power range (watts) 150-249
*Directional tweeter - No
Head Unit: (hopefully Clarion DXZ775USB) (most likely Clarion DXZ675USB)
I'd like to know if my amp would be good enough to power this set up and if there's anything else that I NEED to get.
Thanks in advanced.
