Well, I am a car nut and have been out of the audio scene for over a decade!! Here is what I need help with my car is a Mitsubishi EVO that is higly modded, so weight is a issue. Back in the day is was audiocontrol, Boston, Punch Pro, PP, JL, etc. the first issue is I don't know what the latest and greatest is the second is I have a lightweight race battery!!
These are the dimensions.
6.5" front in the doors with tweeters in the stock A-pillar location
6.5 Rear in the back deck panel.
The key is not to add much weight. I only want a decent head unit, no flip screens. Some decent seperates up front and rear(possibly coaxials in the rear) and some sort of lows (dare I say Bazzookas? light cheap)
This is a 600whp car with loud turbo, BOV, and exhaust. I just trying to get it clear enough and loud enough to enjoy the car while driving the loud beast.
I was thinking Boston SX60's front and SX60's rear or SX65's with some sort of powered sub/subs for ease of installation. Do I need a MF cap since my battery is a 6lb race version?
Thanks any advice would be great.
