Need help hooking up amp

I want to hook up a amp to my system, but my hu doesnt have rca hookups. Ive heard i could use a line input converter or somthing but i dont know anything about them or if i would be restricted as to how big of an amp i can use with one. I didnt know if i could possibly damage my amp in anyway with using one. Thanks as im kinda a noob when it comes to the install stuff still.

You would have to use a line output converter. What are you using the amp for?

i havent got it yet, but im looking at getting a AQ1200D

They are fairly simple to install, what do you drive, if your rear speakers are easily acessible all u do is run pos+ and neg- from each into the converter at the designated spot and rca's out. Should support that amp. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: May I suggest buying a new head unit? You would have better SQ.
