okay, i am looking for

10"

dual 4ohm

min. 500w rms.

this is going into a small sealed enclosure that needs to fit in my 92 ranger regular cab, behind the passenger seat. i am having a time finding something in the 0.5 - 0.6 cubic ft. range. i have found Clif Designs CDAW100 that suggests a min of 0.65cuft. and a Pioneer Premier TS-W2501D4 that is from 0.35 - 0.7. i found a few possible others, but can't confirm specs from the manufacture website's directly. i have found some info from sonicelectronix to be a little off sometimes. there has to be more out there and i was hoping some of you could point me to other places.

btw i am going to build the enclosure to replace what i have now, so it's not that i need to fit into an existing box. i had to "under build" a 12" box i have now and it's still just too big. i want to get some of that leg room back for the passengers. oh and money is a factor. if i can get prices like those two links i provided it would be great.

okay, so no help there.

how about this, bewtween these two choices which would you pick? the money is right for me, they are better than the old Cerwin Vega Stealth 12" with repaired surround. plus i'll be able to get the full potential from my amp.

Lightning Audio Strike VC2 S4.10.VC2

and a pre ha ha to those who say niether //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

okay, after some more research i have found that RE Audio SE10 is high on my choice list. only thing is i'm not finding many places that sell them. can some of you throw me some links to places selling them at good prices? also, Diamond Audio D610D4 is something i'm looking at, but i can find those pretty decently

if a type r is too big, an RE SE is definitely too big. look into shallow mount subs like the RF P3 shallow mount or kicker compVT
mounting depth on the type r is 6.8'' almost 7 inches. the RE SE is 6" according to their respective websites. the RE is right at the line but i want to stay under 6" if i can.

also the Kicker and Rockford's are less RMS than i want, i'm looking for (1) 10" at 500RMS min. and dual 4ohm. trust me, i've been looking at this stuff for weeks now, shallow mounts were the first things i looked into.

well of all the post searching i'v done, i'm really liking the responses from people who put the RE in small sealed boxes. i have a Ranger reg cab so there isn't much room for a box and an amp. the Diamond Audio got a lot of good nods also, so that's still a choice. finding the the RE SE on the cheap side has been the hard part. one place had one for $169, but i don't know how much i trust the place.

so after all that, i went with a 10" RL-i D4 SoundSplinter and it will be powered by a Alpine MRP-M850.

in the end, more than i wanted to spend and not smaller by any means. there just isn't enough shallow mounts out that had the numbers i wanted and still could afford. i'll be able to make a slightly smaller enclosure than what i have now, but not by much.

so to any who have helped, thanks!
