Need help finding an electronic crossover...

I'm weighing my options right now and considering going to an active 3way front stage, but the first step in that direction is gonna be getting a crossover lined up. -The low pass would need to reach pretty high, since I'd be using it for a midbass(250+)...

-I would definitely need one channel bandpass, low around 250-400 and high around 2-5k...

-High pass, pretty obvious what the requirements there are...

The only one I've found that fit the bill is the Boss Audio BX55 (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?Source=googlebase&ProductID=15879) and the name alone makes me have second thoughts... anyone heard anything about it? Know of another product you'd recommend?

::edit:: and one more thing... continuously variable (is that the right term?) when selecting frequencies is a BIG plus!

Spud, I'll have to keep that offer in mind... I may get back in touch with you when I scrape together a bit more money...

I was trying to aim at under 100 for the crossover, but am now rethinking the idea of doing a "budget" active front stage...

How much would I be sacrificing in quality (not features) if I went with the Coustic or Boss units...?

I'm just trying to figure out if the features of the higher-end units are really gonna end up getting any use in my system... any feedback from those who have the better processors?
