Need Help Fast.

hey guys just noticed the fuse for the battery in fuse box is blown! first time it happens. I have a 180 amp alt.(HO) factory fuse is 80 AMPS, Should i replace it with identical or bigger one? I have big 3 done also.

In the fuse block under the hood, The battery fuse, my car is '92 honda accord

The fuse that goes from the battery to your system or the fuse that goes from your alternator to your battery? Or the fuse that goes from the battery to a fuse in your fuse box?

Keep the factory rated fuse. Just replace it... Try to find the cause of the short also. It should not be blowing.

Forget the big 3, I'm talking about the fuse in the factory fuse box under the hood( the one with all the fuses for ex. head lights,power lock, etc..) the fuse blown is the dedicated one for the battery(so it says one the box cover. thanks

Just replace it with the same size fuse for now, if it blows again, be worried and expect a short. If anything shorted out, I may have expected the little 5-10-15 single fuses to blow... may be wrong though.

if its 80a keep it 80a

Short: Maybe a cut/melted/unhooked + wire touching metal, etc. And how did you "just notice" it was blown? What was going on in the car at the time?

Just noticed out of the blue! I'm about to go camping so i just checked everything before i was about to leave.
