Need help designing truck box.

Hey guys! New here. I have an extended cab f150. I took out the center console and am designing a crazy enclosure/center console to go there. I have a 12” hippo xl122 sub I’m putting there. Thinking about tuning to 28hz, should I tune higher? And when building it if I have a really shallow and short height, but a longer width and depth. Will it distort the sound?

Finally, I’do u think it would sound better mounted down firing or above the box inverted, or just regular mounted on the side???
