Need Help Designing A Box

I need help designing a box for 15" treo csx . i already built a 4 cu-ft box tuned to 35hz but sounded like shit. Can anyone recommend a box size and tuning geared towards a daily driver .

from the sub . i check to see if any wire where rattling ,couldnt find anything and check the leads to see if they were hitting but also found nothing

Weird, sounds like a sub problem and not a box problem. Are you sure it wasn't tinsel lead slap? Are they sewn into the spider or just hangin there?

post up the design. also was the noise worse from the sub at higher frequencies compared to lower? if so you my friend might have a burnt coil and or coil rub. check the coils with a DMM to c what they read in comparison to proposed impedance.

the only problem i think i came across is the wiring to the amp . ther r two sets of positive and negative terminals and usually i would brigde them but the wiring diagram said nothing to do so

what kind of noise was this? did it rattle randomly or was it during a certain note of a certain song? all the time?

the leads r just hanging and i ohm'd each vc and got 1.5 ohms on each vc

diff. intensities on higher frequencies? im serious about checking the coils impedance with a dmm bro.

found my problem . the dustcap was coming off so i glued the cap back on and no more noise and works perfect now . but i noticed i wasnt able to hit the low notes like before any suggestions on a new box design ?

If you're not hitting the low notes like you want to, then it seems like tuning lower is the logical answer. Have you used test tones to see where it is you're actually not happy with the output? "low tones" can be in different areas according to different people.
