what if he wants another sub later?....and if not, it will sound better and be more efficient on his electrical, which 1000 @ 4ohms would be the best to get the most out of his electrical...but 1000 @4 is probably out of his price range

exactly unless he buys new, so thats why i am saying get a d2 sub with a mono amp, unless he jumps on that jbl14001 amp for 200 shipped on here which is a steal and an amazing amp or the brz1700.1 on here for 165 obo where he would get 1200rms at 2 ohm and could add another sub down the line

just throwing this out there, what are some good shallow mounts, if I can afford it I'd just assume get the shallow mount and put it behind my single cab seat. and keep it in the truck...or should I just go for the truck bed and get a good 12''?

i got 6-7'' to work with mounting wise with the seat all the way back, I could probably put the seat up more to get about 10'' or so, 46'' from seatbelt to seatbelt and 14-16'' from floor to seat

2 be honest with you man, unless you want to do a blow threw and cut up your cab, putting it in the bed is a waste of time.

why dont you do 2 massive 8's, i have seen some incredible number 140 plus with 8's in a cab. so that you can get an appropriate box

or if you really want to go big since you are wide and dont have a lot of depth the best deal/most cone area in yuor truck would be

i would prob do the 2 xd 8's ported or cadence s2's, you will have plenty of room to do it with aero ports and will be louder than the sa-12 in the back

if he really has 6.5 he has to take in the perfect box and subtract port and the with of the wood, and thats going to cost more than his 200 dollar budget
