OP Hifi's are some of the most ineffecient amps. I've ran my car with MB Quart, Alpine, Rockford and Hifonics. All about 1000 rms. The only amp that ****** juice and dimmed my lights was the Hifi. I'm not going to say it didn't work. It did it's job well. Just prefer the other ones over it. Listen to Audiobaun and Disturbed. The guys have both been around a while and know their shlt.

lemme get this right...u got $200 and want a sub or subs to run off a BRZ 1200? And to clarify, you want to put the box in the bed of u truck and listen to it through an open beer window in the back?

You need about a 1000 watts at 2ohms for just one of them, if you want it to sound ok

I was just saying if he is only wanting 1000 watts, get higher than 1ohm so it will sound ok.

running an amp at 1 ohm will still sound the same and he limits himself on amp choices to push the sub at full potential.

Now his best deal would be to grab used and get better equipment but the xfl 12 will be the loudest for the money imho and running at 1 ohm on a rub it will rattle you up a bit

Not one amp mentioned would put out 1k at 2 ohm

what if he wants another sub later?....and if not, it will sound better and be more efficient on his electrical, which 1000 @ 4ohms would be the best to get the most out of his electrical...but 1000 @4 is probably out of his price range
