buy junk now and replace it in 2 years but save 100$$ or spend 10-20 over budget now and never replace it...sell it in 3 yrs when he upgrades...

The MB Quart sub isn't anywhere near what the SSA Dcon is. So you're calling the same amplifiers that you sell junk?

What does he do with the remaining $60?

Deaden his vehicle, upgrade his Big 3, buy the amp wiring kit, or have a box built? Can't get but 1 of 4 with $60. The layout I gave him would allow for a complete system.

Not everyone wants to build their own box. Some people don't have the tools, time, or know how. Maybe the reason I recommended the budget Crunch amp was because it fit within his budget. Not everyone has the money, or wants to spend the money, for top gear. Just like most other people on here you & misfit take the guys MAXIMUM budget & use it on a sub/amp combo alone. $400 is what he wants to spend, but he can go up to $500. So you're say inghis best option is to spend $40 over what his budget is on subs/amp alone? He still has to pay someone to build a box, buy a wiring kit, upgrade his Big 3, & deaden his car.....For what I recommended within his budget.....& for the money what I recommended would sound good.

You guys should learn what a budget is before trying to give advice on here.

I'd like to once again state that the equipment I recommended in this thread is light years ahead of the garbage you showed the guy. If he follows the advice I gave him, and upgrades his front speakers and amp later on (something he already said he plans to do), he'll have a very nice system.

I'd also like to once again call you out for throwing me into your blanket statement ignorance. I NEVER tell someone to blow their whole wad on a sub & amp...EVER. But in this particular instance I did, because the OP said that's all he needed. I have over 15 years of experience in car audio, son. When I speak, people like you need to listen. I was building nice audio systems when you were still pooping on yourself.

OP, buy the Arc Audio amplifier if you do nothing else. It's an extremely nice piece of equipment and you'll be happy to own it...

compared to an ARC yeah it is junk

alot out there is junk imo compared to Zeff made amps...

as far as china made or korean made crunch is good quality budget stuff..

and i will put 3 of rwe ( reference series German Made ) subs vs that 1 dcon all day long...

The RWE was designed when MB Quart was still a very good company (prior to the Maxxsonics buyout), and it was built in the USA by Rockford Fosgate. It's a very nice driver.
