Need help chosing an amp

I am a complete rookie at car stereo installation and need help choosing the right type of amp.

I have a restored 72 Ford Bronco (that I have done the majority of the restoration on) that I have decided to install the stereo in myself. How tough could it be to put a basic stereo in.

I have the head unit and all the speakers (set in each front door (tweeter and mid) and a set of six inch speakers that will be going in the back panel next to the rear seats).

I need to determine what type of amp to get. 3 channel, 4 channel/ how many watts to run 6 speakers? I have no idea.

The front door speakers will have cross overs with them.

Again, I am a complete rookie when it comes to stereo installation so please be patient with my future stupid questions.

Thanks,

Matt

Sounds like u need at least a 4 channel amp. I would run an arc audio ks 300.4 u can pick one up for $258.70 at audiophileliquidators.com go to google and google arc audio ks 300.4 and they should be on there. What kind of speakers do u have?

I have Infinity 6020cs (Front set) and Infinity 6022i (rear set). I also have a Sony CDX GT310 for a head unit.

So with a four channel amp would you run one channel to each of the fronts and one channel to each of the rears? Sorry for the stupid question.

Keep in mind this Bronco will never have a top and the interior acoustics are never going to be that good because this truck is loud and has a ton of wind noise in it going down the road.

I just want to be able to hear the stereo. Also, the amp has to be compact becasue it will be going under the passanger seat.

Thanks for your help.

Yea u should beable to run the front speakers off of one channel and the rears off another channel. I mentioned the arc audio because it's a quality amp at a good price. It should beable to provide excellant sound quality without a top.

Off a 4 channel amp, There will be a channel going to each speaker. 2 channels for the front components and 2 channels for the rear speakers.

Just a question, is this thing going to get all wet?

Basically, If one day, you decide you want a subwoofer, you will need to either ad another amp, or get a 5channel or 6channel amp. But again, those will be too large to put under your pass seat.

And feel free to ask any questions you have.

If you want help on how to run the wires and install the amp, feel free to pm me and we will do it over messenger.
