Need help choosing the right sub

I currently have 2 w3v3s 10" (ported box) I am looking to downgrade for space reasons and also the w3's sound great, but I always keep them powered down so I am not using them up to what they are capable of--so its pretty much a waste of sub and space. I was thinking about going with a 10" w1v2 in a sealed powerwedge box (they are pretty space saving). But I've been hearing that going down to w1v2 would sacrifice power (which I want) but also they wont sound as nice sound quality wise. So I was thinking about maybe staying with the w3v3s but just getting a single 6" or 8" w3v3 in a nice sized box. I am not expecting any of these subs to subs to sound as good as the 10" w3 but would going with a smaller (6" or 8") w3 sound better than a slightly larger 10" w1? (I dont care about loudness, I care more about the way the bass sounds)

Also, would going with a sealed box make my base punchier and more like a short hit as opposed to the "boom" that kind of lingers for a second that I am currently getting from my 10" w3 in ported box?
