Need help choosing sub/s

Just got a Kicker zx1000.1 from a friend for nothing. I have been out of the car audio scene for a longtime and am wondering what sub or subs you guys would recommend for this amp. I was thinking 2 12s, but would go with 1 12 if this amp doesnt have the power to drive 2. I am looking for loud clean bass.

you could get a pair of alpine type Rs for 250 and get a nice ported box built to spec with the other 200 left and probably still have money left.

1998 toyota camry. My brother has a zx400.1 and a 12" kicker cvr in his camry, but I think it sounds like crap. Are these alpine subs better then the kickers?

try a pair of DD 1500's in the right ported box..they won't let you down

Here is the rest of my setup, not sure if you need this but I figured it couldn't hurt to post.

Orion EXTREME 500.4

Eclipse 6 1/2 2 way components(front)

Eclipse 6x9 2 way(rear)

Alpine Head Unit(need to replace)

Kicker ZX1000.1 amp

No subs

All of this gear is all hand me down except the 6x9s.

the orion amp is 5-6 years old and the seperates are little over a year old.

Look into a pair of Diamond D6, will sound clean and hould be plenty loud.
