need help choosing audio parts

well I'm trying to get a list together of audio parts to get for my truck id kinda like a setup of 2k watts, i had a set of what i sounded good over ebay (I'm broke and ebay has decent prices)

here is the thing tho I'm not looking to spend over 700-800 bucks on the whole thing

what can you guys suggest for me

Do you want a full stereo, or just subs and an amp?

ie, do you need HU, speakers, etc...

well i have a sterio system in my truck (came stock with a crap amp and sub) and im jsut going to keep that in there, so as far as i can tell i just need amp, subs (id like 2 12's), and a capacitor (dont want to murder my alternater), ill probably make a box or soemthing

You don't need a cap...it actually will put slightly more strain on your alt...as far as subs you have a wide variety that you can get with that much. Look around on here for similar threads and learn the ropes of a few reccomended subs, then you can make an informed decision more so than me telling you what I would do.
