I really wouldn't risk running one at 1 ohm because RF stuff gets hot enough as it is.

I've been running my Hifonics Brutus 1500d at a 0.75 load for about 4 days now, and its only gotten hot after about 3 hours of hard playtime.

About the weird final impedance, its b/c of the way my subs are wired, definitely not something done alot. Two different subs, ones a temporary until i get my real one. That ones a quad 1, the other, a dual 4.

Yes, the NEW model is. The older, no(2 ohm). But as many people stated, they will get a little warm. But, they're a great amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/inlove.gif.6846f78f06b405429ef3a00129788a2a.gif

I dunno; I asked that question a while back (like, two years ago) and general consensus over on Termpro was to not try it. However, once you take impedence rises and such into account, you may be OK running that "1ohm" load because it won't truly be a 1ohm load (very often atleast)

yea, nominal impedence means jack.

impedence rise and all that, thats what matters.

But you duno what can happen on music... which is why they typically dont recommend wiring down the amps for daily driving.
