I have chosen the speakers that will be making up the Audio System in my car. I am going with the Infinity Kappa Series speakers, and desperately need help choosing the Amp to drive these bad boys.
I am putting 6-1/2" in the doors, 6X9" in the rear deck, tweeters beside the visors, and 10" subs in the back seat area.
The problem that I am having is selecting the right Amps for the power. I was looking at a 4X400 Watt Rockford Fosgater Amp to drive the front and rear deck speakers and a 2X800 Watt Rockford Fosgate to run the two subs. All of it is going through an Orion active crossover from a pre-amp deck.
My question is more along the side of preference. I don't have the time or money to change out every Amp until I fing the one that will work for me. I am looking for absolutely perfect clarity, and won't sacrifice cost for the sound.
Rumor is telling me that Phoenix Gold is a really good amp, but does it have the quality? I am also hearing that Rockford Fosgate produces a really dirty sound. I am open to all suggestions, SO SPEAK UP LITTLE GIRLY MEN, and announce your presence to the world.
