Need help choosing amp

Hey guys I got a question,I have two 10" visonik subs that have a sensitivity of 89.1,Freq response at 24-300, Rms /max power of 250/500 and voice coil ohms 1/4.Now i have been looking at Profile and Lanzar amps and i here good and bad about both so i dunno.Im on a tight buget so i just want an amp that will push these subs to the limit any opinions?should i get a 1000wattt amp or 2000?

I would get an amp that you can afford that will run near the RMS of the subs with the correct ohm load.

Ok you seem to be new to this stuff. With all car audio there are two ratings of power. The RMS and the MAX or PEAK. The only one you need to be concerned about is the RMS rating. The MAX rating means absolutely nothing. You want to match the RMS power of you speakers to your amps. That is a pretty common rule for most new people to follow. It will keep you from destroying equipment.

If you are on a budget Profile, Lanzar will be fine. Just make sure the RMS power rating is at least near the RMS power rating on the speakers.

Maybe, that amps is 200 rms per channel and is a tad bit over rated. Read my post. You want to come close to the RMS of your subs. If you run those speakers ported it will be plenty. In a small sealed box might not be enough power.

Profile are pretty good amps for the money. This amp will put out 500 watts at 2 ohm. Wire the subs in parallel and each sub will get 250 watts.

You dont want to give those subs 300 rms. 250 will be fine. Get the profile.

hey i know im asking alot of noob questions,but what is the differance between mono amp and the other?isnt the mono amps a better choice for subs?

Your subs are rated at 250 rms. So that is what you want for each sub if you want to be putting the rms to them daily. The profile is a mono amp, so it has one speaker input. It does 500 watts rms into a 2 ohm load. You will wire the speakers in parallel to achieve this 2 ohm load. So each sub will be getting 250 watts. Which is just what you need. Go with the profile, they are good amps for the money.
