Need help choosing a sub.

Ok, first, thank you all for the quick and helpful information.

The setup will be in my van, so room is not a problem. It will be in a ported box tuned to 30-32hz? Speaking of box, im not familiar with building sub boxes to there specs, is there a place around where I live (Tampa,Fl.) that can build a custom box for me? And so were clear, at the $500 rang, the ZCON is my best choice? And again, thank ya'll for the help.

zcon is a good choice and theres lots of guys on here that can build u a box or at least design it and have someone local build it .. @Buck; @prorabbit; @double07; @ramdesigns;

Zcon would be my choice

Oh there may not be. But I would much rather do business with a company that has a good reputation. Skar is far from that.
