Is it possible for a subwoofer to get quieter?

I didn't break anything, but i was wondering if its possible for a subwoofer to lose output over time under same pwoer, box, amp, etc.

no but it's possible your getting use to it, and they don't sound quite as loud in the cold.

Just pounded the sub for a few hours, and i never really punded it prior to this, could possible be why.

Different variables will affect how loud it is, windows up/down will make a big difference a lot of times. You could go a few days with the sub stage off and it will seem louder when you turn it back on.

As mentioned, there are a lot of variables that could factor in to how loud it sounds at a particular time. I've had set ups that impressed me one day, and the next I would be ready to sell and move on.. next thing I know, its loud again. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Sometimes its just our ears playing tricks on us though. Maybe give it a rest for a day or two and it will seem loud again afterwards.
