need help choosing a sub

i have two Questions. i am trying to decide on a sub woofer to get its between a Diamond Audio 12" D6 or a 15" Diamond D3 the sub will be powered by a Clarion DPX1800 800 watt mono block amp which is a 1ohm stable so the sub will be a dual 2ohm so i can get the most thump out of it. which sub will hit harder than the other. my second question is i have two 12" Alpine Type E subs running on the same amp. would one 12" Diamond d6 or a diamond d3 15" hit harder than both the alpine type E 12"s?? thanx for help

The differences between the 3 setups you are asking are slight enough that the most likely differences you would experience would be due to differences in installation, enclosure size/type/alignment, etc.
What is your goal exactly? Just to be as loud as possible?

one of the Alpine Type Es blew. so im stuck with two different subs one alpine and one mtx magnum. and so i decided to get one sub that sounds just as good or better than the alpines. and save a lil room in the trunk.

So you want SPL, SQ, or what combination of the two? Budget? Room for enclosure? Vehicle?

the budget is 300.00 the car is 1996 old cutlass supreme the sporty one. not sure how big the trunk is the box that is in their now is a scorpion dual 12" slot vent. here are the box specs.34" Width x 13 1/4" Height x 16 1/4" Depth im looking for more spl than anything.

If you are looking mostly for SPL, Id steer clear of Diamond. I liike Diamond, but they aren't so much for raw SPL. The AudioQue HDC3's seem to be a very popular budget oriented SPL driver these days.

what would be better? in spl sql? 12"d6 or the 15" d3?? im just getting the sub from a local car audio shop. i do like spl but im really on a budget. what ever i get i will end up getting a second to go with it later down the road. i also have another q? im thinking bout trading my other alpine 12" type E "swe 1241" for a diamond 12" D1 to go with the 12 d6 if i get it. is the D1 a better sub than the "swe1241" alpine????

Let me list the problems with this latest response.

1) You appear to be poised to run two different subs at the same time. Terrible idea.

the reason im buying from the local shop is because i really dont want to wait for the sub. i know it sounds crazy but i dont like waiting lol. i am more drawled to Diamond sub woofers. I didnt ignore your reply i looked up the sub you recomened. its like 1000rms and 2000 max. with a 340 oz magnet. all i wanted to know whats the better sub of the two that will produce more thump. the 15" d3 or the 12" d6. and the reason i asked about the d1 vs the Type E is because i dont want to get rid of the Type E if its better than the D1. im putting the single type E or the D1 in my wifes car im not running them togather. lol
