Need help choosing a complete auto audio system:Stereo, Speakers, Subs, Amps

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and hope I can get some guidance on choosing the correct auto audio system that suits my needs. I recently rode in a Lexus LS400 car and could not believe the sound quality of the stereo system. I have a 1955 chevy belair (4 door) that I am restoring and would like to install a system that comes close to the sound quality I heard in this Lexus. My budget could probably be at about $1,500 since I will not be purchasing the complete system at one time. Any help with stereo, speakers, subs, and amp brands would be greatly appreciated.
