Need help Audiobahn amp

Im selling an Audiobahn A2200HCQ amp for a friend of mine and he keeps telling me its rated at 2400W. The book says 800Wx2 @ 1 ohm.

If its 800x2 then its 1600Wx1 correct?

Also, he keeps telling me to sell it for no less than $500.

They go for $300 on ebay, so whats a good price for it?

Its brand new by the way.

If it says 800x1 at 1 ohm RMS, then it is probably 1600x1 at 2 ohm RMS. However, unless you are jusr selling it to some kid locally that doesn't know any better, I don't think you would be able to get anywhere near $500 fot it. It doesn't hurt to try though. List it for whatever he wants, and if it doesn't sell, tell him he needs to adjust the price.

The specs I found are as follows:

• 4 Ohm Stereo: 200 X 2 Watts
  
• 2 Ohm Stereo: 400 X 2 Watts
  
• 1 Ohm Stereo: 600 X 2 Watts
  
• 4 Ohm Mono: 400 X 1 Watts
  
• 2 Ohm Mono: 800 X 1 Watts
  
• 1 Ohm Mono: 1600 X 1 Watts

What it does not say is whether the preceding are RMS ratings or not and at what input voltage these figures are achieved.

You're right - they go for $300 on eBay and I found a package deal with this amp and two sub for $500. As it does belong to someone else then ask what the owner reckons it is worth. If it doesn't find a buyer then possibly he'll work out that he's asking too much for it. Good luck!
