so i finished up my new box today, as well as swapping out my alpine 9831 for a new alpine 9855. i'm having some audio feedback issues. i'm hearing slight whirring/buzzing feedback, but ONLY when opening/closing the motorized faceplate AND when changing tracks. I had this problem awhile back to a lesser degree with my previous deck, so i know it isnt really a deck issue. are there any particular things i should look for as far as wiring being too close to the deck, etc etc?
i heard it *might* be a grounding issue...
currently i have the deck ground wire connected to the ground wire coming from the stock wiring harness... i cut the lug off of the deck's ground wire, and basically used a butt connector to connect it to the stock ground wire. should the deck have its own separate ground?
i have my power wires running along the driver side door sill, and the rcas for my amps are running along the passenger side, along the driveshaft hump, to avoid noise from the power lines. i DID have to extend the rca's behind the dash for my sub, since the old deck had a sub-out with a lead on it, and the new deck has the preouts right on the back of it with no lead. I used an adapter and a short rca to extend it. the rca i used to extend it might be unshielded, but if that were the problem, i'm assuming id only be hearing feedback through the sub, and it *sounds* like its coming from the door speakers.
as for my setup, i have an infinity 4ch and a 2ch, and a 12w3 in a ported box.
thanks for any help guys!
