Need help and information!

Hi my name is Justin and I'm 17 years old. For my 17th birthday, my family and I bought a 2007 (new body style) Chevy silverado 1500 4x4. I would like to install a system for the cheapest possible,which I understand you get what you pay for. I mainly would like subwoofers, because everything else I'm ok with. Now what I would like to know is, what are the neccessary parts to install subs, (amp,wall speakers, deck, etc.)? And if I could install them my self and where I could get them for cheap. My budget is around 500$ which I know will probably not get me anywhere, I would just like to know so in the future I could save, etc.
