need help again -_-

So i have a precision power BK800.4 Amplifier thats rated 130 watts RMS.

Anyway i have no idea how to set the HPF cross over on this thing. it goes from 15hz-4KHZ (4000HZ) with no numbers in between. anyway i have Hybrid Imagine speakers and im tyring to get it to sound right but theres no way i can without crossing it almost all the way to 4000hz....wtf?

i called bob at hybrid and he told me the speakers should be crossed between 80-100hz and no more than that for these speakers. well if i put it any lower than IDK wat hz its on all i get is a farting booming bass sounds like its gonna blow the speakers up. IDK wat to do. this is how i figured how to try and FIGURE out what the HZ numbers are on the DIAL, i subtracted 15 from 4000, so obviously its still around 4000, then i turned the knob down half of that so it should be around 2k hz? then another half, 1k, another 500, and another 250 etc. but thers no possible way i can put the HPF lower than about 6/8ths of the way to almost 4khz im guessing

is it the amplifier thats messing everything up for me? i need a good amp that can do a little more than 100 watts rms without the stupid 15-4khz crossover

I take it this is on the front channels, does your HU have HP ?x-overs

stock HU in a 2008 accord, using an audiocontrol LC2i for signal, but ya i only have 2 front speakers connected now

N/M..I see your sig..you on ch 1 & 2 right? it's on HPF, bass boost all the way counterclockwise, gains st properly..it looks like all you can do from there is turn up the HPF, turn up the volume and work your way back down to where you start to hear any sign of distortion. ..MB Quart ID , and many more are like this. RF, for example at least paces the reading like 30hz, 60hz, 80, etc

and yeah i sent my gain to around 20 volts , 110rms give or take using the DMM

i mean the speakers sound good if i cross them high as **** but it doesnt make any sense whatsoever why i cant cross them low at ( im guessing there crossed at like 3k now? or something like that, but i hear every instrument and stuff idk. something is weird i think it might be cuz of my factory headunit. a headunit is next on my list, and double din units good? i know pioneer doesnt make any double dins good for sound (with crossovers and stuff, but i think clarion is releasing a new double din unit soon that has 3 way crossover with time allignment) i might get that. i hate single din units

if you got them where they blend good with the subs and are not distorting, then that is where they need to be..what are your subs crossed over at?

RTA - Real Time Analyzer , using a microphone, it shows the frequency response of your system. by cutting out the subs you could use it to learn the HPF frequency

there are some RTA apps available that use your fone, but then you would be solely dependent on the ability of your fones' mic.

my subs are crossed at around 75hz i beleive
