DD 3515 Box design Ideas

I just got a dd 3515 and I am looking to maximize output. I have 1700rms to feed it. I was looking at the designs recomended by DD. They say to have 16 inches of port area per net cube. They reccomend a 40hz tuning. My issue is that I am putting it in a car, and I am not quite sure if it will fit. I might need to take an inch off of the height of the box. How will this affect tuning. Has anyone tuned a dd say at 28-33? Should I keep the ratio of 16 inches of port area per cube? Just take off the port width to add length?

i tuned my 3512's at 32hz.... 40 is way too high for daily imo
