My life is turned upside down.
ran across a major problem... I seem to have busted something loose it the roof of my jeep. When the bass hits the roof of my Jeep sounds like something came loose due to the flex, ect..At first it sounded like I blew the side out of my box, but I got the noise to stop by putting pressure on the roof from the outside. Has anyone ran across this problem? What likely came loose? Crossmember weld maybe? How difficult is it to repair? Since I'll likely have to pull the headliner to repair, should I put some kind of sound deadener? If so, what should I use? Effective but inexpensive preferred. Thanks in advance.

Need help A.S.A.P. I have to weigh out my options with the hurricane, in case of mandatory evacuation..

first thing is first, take down the head liner and find out what the problem is. Sound Deaden'r will most likely fix your problem if you put enough of it on there. I suggest secondskinaudio.com deadn'r. I use it for all my installs, works awesome. Post up pics when you figure out whats wrong with it. Good Luck.

I dropped the headliner and quickly found the problem... The cross member adheisive seal broke free from the roof skin..Due to the lack of funds and rapidly upcoming usaci event, I went the cheapo route and stuffed some socks between the crossmember and the roof skin... with no sound deadner. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but it did stop the rattle. I will correctly fix the problem when I am ready to shell out the $$ for a good quality sound deadner such as the one you recommended. thanks for the reply
