I am fairly new to car audio, about 6 months ago I installed a Autotek 4100Xi amp paired with two Kicker 10" subs using the factory HU and speakers. Last night, I installed a BassInferno BEIQ7 equalizer to achieve higher levels of clarity through the factory speakers.
My speakers are running through channels 1 and 2 on the Amp, the subs are running through channel three.
The trouble I am having is fine tuning my EQ and Amp together. Should I turn everything down on the Amp before tuning the EQ? Or tune the Amp like you would without an EQ, then start cutting frequencies on the EQ?
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
