Need good amp for 15" solo Baric

Is it bad to have my subs running at max RMS? The specs on them are 1000 RMS max, with both I can have 2000 RMS. So if I get a amp that is mono channel, and can deliver 2000 RMS, would this damage my subs? I am looking at a soundstream pca2000d. Go here to look at the stats. Would it be worth it to get?
