I got a new Kenwood Headunit yesterday. Today I tried setting my gains for my 18" Q and I cannot get the volts below 65!! Even when the gain is all the way down. Did I blow it somehow? The final load from the Q is like 2.2 ohms, what should my volts be? And on the meter, do i set it to mV or V? The test tone is a ROE 50hz tone through my thumbdrive. Thank you so much and please someone help me im so pissed right now, thanks.

i woudl assume that since you are getting a reading its not blown, check all your settings again, bring your sub level on the HU down, volume down, gain down, all that sht and try again.

yeah i checked it all over and over, loud is off sub level is 0, maybe there is a source level adjustment like my pioneer?? I need to read the manual hopefully the source level is way up on the usb so I cant get it down. But voltage so far is constant 65 volts, this blows.

Unplug RCA's, switch your meter to DC, check voltage on amp speaker outputs. If you get some (more then several millivolts), amp needs to be serviced.

Wow, i am an idiot, I put the prongs of the meter on the wrong speaker terminals. Man do i feel like a douche, I just set it properly and ******* it is rediculously loud. Thanks anyway guys.
