I found these 2 subs at a pawn shop for 300 dollars came with a box, 2 subs, and had them in my old car with a sony explode 1000 watt. They hit really hard, but I want more. What would be a good amp to get for them? The peak of them both i do believe is 3000 (1500 each) and besides the wires, what else show i get? Like should I get a sea battery, or a cap, or what? I want to push these to at least 2400 watts. Give some names of amps and the model. Or would it be better to get 2 amps and bridge them. Throw out some ideas

I do not know... Ill have to get a friend to look at them. I dont know anything on subs or anything, and like i said, I bought them at a pawn shop for really cheap. Ill get him to look at them and post a reply back

That horse shoe like symbol refers to Ohms. Therefore your coil config is Dual 4 Ohm or D4 for short. And that's a pretty slammin deal for 2 15" L7's and a box, nice find :p

And the L7's will take 1000 RMS Each (rated that is).

How much are you willing to spend on an amp? And is it in the right spec. box? A crappy box will make all the difference in how your subs sound.

I would look for a class d mono, since those seem to work best with DVC subwoofers. If u can find an amp 1 ohm stable I say go with it, but most of the amps are 2 ohm stable so I would route it like that. Since your subs are 2000 rms:D each you have alot of power to play with

edit: Mono are 1 channel amps

somebody on the classified has an oldschool ppi for 360 ish i think...1600@1ohm @ 12.2 volts...very underated...great buy if you hve tha space for that monster amp

no 1600 ems want come close to frying them you still have 400 to play with. If you want to max them out, your gonna pay some good money. But since the amp is under rated at 1600 rms you will get more than that, so for 3 and some change you cant beat that.

Idk how much that ppi is under rated, but i would look into the amps that do 2kw+ at one ohm. Also, is the box the two subs are in ported? You will want to port L7's, also when you start running bigger power like we're talking here, how is your electrical system in your car?

How big is your alternator? I'm assuming its stock, which will be fine in most cases provided its around 140a.

Make sure you pick up some 0awg wire to run also. Don't skimp out when you're playing with power.

Should probably look into a second battery to run, kinetiks, yellow tops, those types.

Also, that is a freaking STEAL of a price... i just hope they weren't stolen... y'kno them pawn shops...

Yeah stock alternator, Ill take some pictures of the box and subs. Just dont know where I can post them, new to this site. I think he has sold the amp. What other amp would be good. Post up
