Wow, this is a tough one to explain. I ride in the Mardi Gras parades down here  in New Orleans in my Jeep Wrangler. I need to add "marine" speakers to the top of my Jeep to broadcast music to the crowd. I already have a Rockford M400-4D Amp, and what I would like is to put 2 speakers on either side and maybe 2 speakers facing the front. What I don't understand is all about OHM's and speaker wattage, can someone help?  In my mind, I would like to build the attached, but not sure what speakers to use, and if I actually need the subwoofer? This is the speakers I like: (4) Rockville RMC65LW 6.5" 1200w White Marine Speakers w/Multi Color LED+Remote-----and this is the subwoofer I like:Rockville MS10LW 10" 2400 Watt White Marine/Boat 10" Subwoofer with LED

Do I really need a sub woofer, I am more interested in loudness, the crowd at Mardi Gras is very loud?
it fills out the sound.  However loud, you are using the wrong speakers.  You want something with really high sensitivity Pro audio speakers with 96 db sensitivity and higher. Along with some super tweets.  You dont need a sub but you need a much bigger box and more cone area. I'd do some Pro audio 10s in a ported enclosure tuned to 45 to 50hz.  Your amp is really small and weak, not really going to cut it for a large crowed. Your current speakers are small and pretty low sensitivity. Your current setup wont really wow anything. I'm guessing you want to show up everyone thats why i gave it to you straight. You'll need a lot more power, cone area and sensitivity along with a goodd ported enclosure for really good results to wow the audience.

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...

Yup , the dsp should have input sections, it may have one for sub? Hu to dsp. Dsp to amps, amps to speakers. Probably help you to draw this all...

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
