I want to make sure before I upgrade from the 9883. Are time correction, EQ, and the crossovers all unusable until I buy that crazy expensive imprint thing? If so then what makes this any better than my 9883? I thought the crossovers would be built in so I could go active if I wanted to.
Also, when it says EQ, that is talking about the 5-7 band eq right? If I choose not to buy the imprint stuff, I still have control of my treble/bass at the very least right?
I want to go active in a while, and need a HU that can do it.... but don't want to buy all this extra imprint stuff. What makes the 9887 so much better than the 9884 if the imprint and tuning kit are what unlock all the features on these HU's?
Could a sundown 125.2 have enough features to run active from the amp if I choose not to get the expensive crossover options in the tuning/imprint kit? Thanks guys.
