Need clarification about Pioneer REV speakers

I'm looking for a nice set of coaxials and came across the Pioneer REV series. Pioneer has so many models that it's hard to tell which are really them. Do they have yellow cones or brown. I don't see the ones with yellow cones on their website so I think they must have changed or upgraded them?? Any help would be great.

Tweeter has a nice sound, not bright or harsh at all. Some might consider it laid back. Decent midbass, but nothing special. Good sounding coax's for the money and they don't need a lot of power to get reasonbly loud. Been running them for a few years now....

I am currently running these(some pioneer 3 ways) right now, and there is no mid bass at all. The highs are waay to harsh. Definetly not worth it.

I know, thats why I too am looking into the REV series as well.

Oh ok sorry. Yeah all the reviews that I have read have peen pretty good. We will see.

I have heard that the REV series components are pretty similar to the new PRS Components. I am not sure how true that is maybe other people can chime in. But if that is the case, the REV series components are around $100 cheaper than the PRS series.

Yeah no doubt. I've read so much over the past few days about the REV series with nothing but great reviews especially if ran off an amp. Way cheaper too. I'm going to give them a shot.

imo revs are better for mid-bass than the new ones (we call them basalts) but the new basalt tweeters are awsome

I love my REV 6.5's. Give them a little juice, and they sing.
