Tangled Up in Blue
I wouldn't run anything DD for home theater, even if it was for pure sound effects and not music at all.
Don't get low enough, don't have enough linear excursion to dig down into the 20's and still be loud AND sound clean. A fs of 30hz for a 15" sub(dd3515e) is NOT low enough for a good HT sub...seriously? why not?
beat me to it...the 9100 series sounds good, but not $600+ good.An Fs of 30Hz for a 15" is not terribly low.
And it's DD...I've yet to hear anything from them that makes music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
well since you know better than others. An Fs of 30Hz for a 15" is not terribly low.

I like this idea...a lot more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThey are selling the Dayton 15" Quatros for $72 each on sale right now. If you had the floor space I would build (2) 2x15s in a stereo setup. That should pound hard for under $300 for the drivers. Give each sub about 5-6 cubes and tune it around 20-22 hz.
