ok so im trying to figure out who the system will work in my nissan 720. what i would ideally like to do is have a blowthrough box. first let me give you some of my options as far as the interior goes. i can either use bench or bucket seats. i have bench right now if i switch to buckets it would most likely be buckets from a 1st gen camaro. with the bucket seats i then have the option of either a blowthrough or a centerconsole box. with the bench seats i dont have enough room to build a centerconsole box that i would like. here is a pic as an example of what i would like my blowthrough to look like
i know that picture is from a van but picture that as the back wall of a truck. that is how i would want to do my blowthrough. first issue if i have subs like that with a bench seat in front im worried that the seats may be to close to the subs and either distort the sound or damage the subs if they are to close to the seats. next consern is i havnt built a blowthrough before so i dont know how exactly to connect the part of the box that would be in the bed of the truck to the part that is in the cab. i know the movement of the truck is a consern as the fron and back half move independantly of eachother so to attach them together with a box may either cause damage or warping to either the truck or box depending on how i construct the box.
so what is the best way to build the box?
does the idea of having subs surface mounted on the back wall of my cab seem like something that might acatually work in a truck or not?
do you think the seats being to close are an issue?
could i possibly cut out the rear of the cab and have the box set back an inch or two yet have it stil sealed fromt eh bed to the inside of the cab?
should i just stop all my worrying and build a bandpass and have the ports run through to the cab?
or are my ideas totally wack and buckets with a center console box are my only option?
thanks for any input and i appologise for the long drawn out post.
