Need any advice on subs

ok i had two 10" MTX thunder 8000's and i blew a vioce coil in one so im going to go with something different. I talked to a guy who highly recomended the kicker cvr's but i wasnt sure how they were. Im going to be running a kenwood excelon 1600 watt amp with 1016 watts rms at 1 ohm. I was also looking into just going with a 12 inch L5 or L7. The main thing that i am looking for is SQ. i love feeling like your heart is getting put off beat. I listen to basicaly every type of music and they or it will be going in a 2001 eclipse. Can anyone help me out with my desicion or recomend another brand? Thanks for the help

well, if your looking for SQ i dont really think that kicker is the way to go.

I would look into perhaps RE SE's, Alpine Type R's, or Image Dynamics. All get loud. . .All sounds good while playing loud.

infinity referance 1242's have great sound quality.. and for a 120 a pair... you can't beat em... oh, and they get pretty **** loud... i'm pushing them real hard and they really move

now we know that SQ is mainly street personal preference, but many do love the sound of the VR.

But, with what he post as power, look at either two L5 12's or better output, even over one 15".

well im deff looking for sound quality, but going from a CVR to a W6 in price in a little big of a increase. I was thinking more along the lines of like $150 each. I've been looking into the two 10" DVC Type R's. How would those match up with my Kenwood 811D monoblock amp. it has a max output of 1600 watts and a 1ohm rms of 1016 watts.
