need an opion on some 10" subs

I'm wantin to put 4 10s in my 98 grand prix.I'm lookin at a rf 1000bdcp or a 1500bdcp amps.I know there's better for the price.I wanting to hit really low if possible.anyway I,ve looked at so many subs I can't decide what I want.was lookin at 2 fi ssd 12s.what do yyou all think.

With a 1500 to 2000 budget on subs alone you can get real crazy.

Lol I bet.figure that budget would give more options.I'm not much for spl.don't get me wrong I like it.just more on sq.amp is part of the budget and etc.

with that budget i would look into brands like focal, morel, rainbow etc.. and get a better amp with a little more power.

Those are some very respectable companies. With any of them, you can't go wrong, really. GL with your decision.

I have some AQ 2.0 10s that I can work you a deal on. They are dual 4 ohm so you would have a final impedance of 2ohm or .5 ohm.

hrmm I dont think we should be jumping into suggesting brands like focal and other all out sq companies. Look at the new sundown x series 4 of those on 4k and a battery and upgraded alternator would be nice and fit within the budget probably

To be honest, before really looking at brands and such we should consider how much room he has and is willing to use for the enclosure. Basing a decision off of that will likely net a better overall result and better options given for the application.

I can think of several brands that would work with in budget, but first thing would be to ask...

What is your maximum dims you will use for your enclosure? (H x W x D) This will let us know more about what subs may work better in your allowed space.

Sundown is one of the few I've looked in to.that more power than I'm shootin for 1500 rms is about all I wanna do

The enclosure will make a huge difference to be honest. Regardless of what people claim on how much power you may need to run what ever sub, the real situation is they don't have an enclosure designed around their product. You can get what ever subs and have the enclosure designed for efficiency which will make the most of the power you do have. I would suggest this anyway to be honest. 1500 on 4 10s can do very very well.

I agree with that.I'm lookin for somethin to carry really low notes.I can stay with 2 12s to save some space
