Need an opinion on this setup FAST

I am looking to put a VERY BASIC system into my 2001 honda civic. I dont know much about these things but im looking to purchase this set up:

Kenwood DB+ 1000watt Subwoofer in Box and 600watt Amp - City of Toronto Electronics For Sale - Kijiji City of Toronto

He is willing to give it to me for 190 canadian picked up tonight. Will this give some thump to the bass on some songs? I have a kenwood deck

I don't really know what I'm talking about but I have heard to stay away from Xplode. Seems like a pretty good deal though, and if you need somewhere to start, that could be your best bet.

Its only a sony xplod box so i dont think that should affect it much!

Id stay away from it. That box isnt tuned for that sub. It will most likely sound like shit.
