does anyone know of a company called patriot? they are a sister production of r/t enterprise! anyhow the question is after doing a ton of searching is do you rember a sub jl made for patriot called the patriot pro si which is suppose to be a similar driver to the old jl w6. the driver is built very well like the w6 but as you know it couldnt be an exact replica so it was not exactly the same. the cone on this driver was what looked like to be carbon fiber. it was the best driver patriot ever produced and the largest by far. anyhow i have three of them bnib but they didnt make any spec sheets on them. the nice thing is is that i know they require a .75 cube ported enclosure and sealed is simmilar but i cant find freq. response, sensitivity or anything important. with that being said anyone with knowledge of this driver feel free to chime in and thanks

forgot to mention the driver is a dual 6 ohm driver which is very rare in this case but it has a 160 oz magnet i beleive, its actually very heavy for a ten inch driver. it has a 2 1/2" aluminum coil aswell i beleive and if i can think of anything else ill mention it

Wow, I read the first part of your thread title and went //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif

But then I read the rest and went //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Dual 6? Why? Most amps aren't rated at 6 or 3 ohm loads. Not that they can't handle it, but it just seems like they're being different just for difference's sake.
well the fact is that they are a unique company whom decided to have a driver built by a highly regaurded company. and when it was built they didnt want the driver to be identical so they did a few things different. the driver was based off of sound quality but also ended up with better output then the jl we found this out due to testing. but if you have noticed jl makes amps that can make the same power between 1 and 4 ohms. so it was kind of a odd deal

lol hoping i was asking an ignorant question? sorry for the hope! no unlike some others that dont use the search buttons the internet has given us ive tried everything but calling

A lot of companies used to do a dual 6 ohm. Jl, and JBL GTI's subs are still dual 6 ohm. It was originally done so you could run 3 subs in parallel for close to 1 ohm load for 3 subs

jbl mkll gti subs are duel 6,, so that they will be wired to 3 ohms and you use the jbl 6000 , and the rise brings it to 4 ohms, causeing the amp to put out 8400 watts
It'd be an interesting point if they'd make the nominal impedance to compensate for real world impedance rise.

very true, but i think they had a point when making the driver i just need to find what that is lol
