What is a good brand for a h/o alt that won't completely rob me lol

In meca, only the inline on the sub amp is counted...so as people have been saying, people just underfuse their inline and hope for the best possible burp anyways. Who cares if the inline fuse blows. At the comps I have been to, virtually every class was won by this method

They will all be pricey, I'd go with Mechman. great CS

Mechman or Ohio Gen probably, Powerbastards seems like a good company too but I havent had experience.
