HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi-1610D? What's your opinion.

I've always stayed away from Hifonics amps, just because there is always something better out there. But I'm thinking this wouldn't be a bad amp for running my BL, even if it doesn't do rated. It'll do 1300 or so I suppose. But what do you think? Anyone have any legitimate experience with Hifonics amps? Let me know!

I have used a few. I will say that I think it will do more along the lines of 14-1500, but I do not know at what point it will be drove into clipping. Supposedly the clip fairly easy...That said, for the most part they are a good powerrice ratio

I had the older 1606D and I liked it. Not sure if the newer stuff is the same but if it is then it should be decent.

not gonna be able to tell the difference from 1300-1600rms anyway,after imp rise, constant voltage change due to music your never gonna see all of your power anyway, if its cheap then buy it...

I had a 1606D and it was ok for awhile. I moved up to a RF Power T1000 (2005-6model) and it was night and day. If you have a good electrial system they will put out decent power, other than that If you can get ur hands on a old 1500D go that route, there new stuff is budget and will run, but there is better out there for the money.

Nope. They are over rated. Bench tests on them showed they only did 1200@1 and clipped at 800@1. I wouldnt touch one. Look at the MB Quart DSC1500.1d or a more reliable brand.

Had a 1606 and 1608 served me very well never got hot but most likely only did 1200-1300 watts anyway they were solid for the price

I Don't like the looks of the audiopipe though, and I have one... put it in my trunk and never had the urge to look at it.

I think the AP3000 looks pretty cooll, I love the long skinny look.

yeah I ran an ap1001d for a while and I was surprised, they are nice little amps for the price.

I think I'm deciding to keep my distance from Hifonics and go with an ED nine.1
