Need an amp for MECA event.

I nailed 141 on music with 1k on some sa8s,
Same here on the music part //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I hadn't tuned the system yet either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I was happy enough with 140 haha

Oh it can //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I've read that the normal ssx 12s can take 3-4k daily and mine has upgraded soft parts so hopefully 4500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and 10k burps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ours is you take fuse size and sub size and goes by peak. I'll be AS3 next year and I'm hoping mid-40's after the upgrades. I wish I had a meter to play with but I found my loudest song on an AudioControl, I know the numbers aren't the same but I'm pretty sure my loudest on that will be my loudest on a TL.
I see. Although your peak # will be a bit different from meter to meter they will all show you relative SPL vs. freq and your "best" songs for competing.

Again, if it is JUST by what fuse you use, get a big *** amp and run it at 2ohm or higher where it's actually efficient. A 180A fuse will pass quite a bit more current before burning (how much and how long may vary, but the point is you have some wiggle room). If you read the fine print on most of the big *** class D amps you'll notice their "85%" efficiency is usually at 4 ohms and 100hz.

For example my DC 2000.1 drops my voltage more at .5 ohm than a Hifonics Sampson XXV at 2 ohm.

I can get a full burp with a amercan bass 500.1 at .5 ohms rising to 1 ohm so 5,000 watts on 70 amps of fusing.
This ^

Guys down here that run MECA will run 3K's on 60 amps of fusing or less , you are running AS3 which means you can run up to 3 fuses and up to 180 amps worth, with a single 12" , and in AS that is with the car off (12v), so if I were you I would be looking for a 4-5k @ 12v that is efficient.

haha good plan, if I was in your guys' areas I'd be runnin AS1.
I am getting the Mmats 4000hd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif gonna run it at 4 ohms and I was told I would get right around 2000 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

on a 150 Amp anl i wouldnt be scared to put like 4-5k on it. i was in AS1 this year and passed 161 amps of current through a 30 amp fuse. normally you can mutiply your fuse rating by 5 to get a rough estimate of what you can pass. like on a 50 amp fuse. pass around 250 amps before it goes poof. give or take a little for under and overrated fuses. my teammate in a 2 Class is running 7k on a 60 amp fuse. EFFICIANCY
